That’s why with every new client, I always start by listening.
I realized early in my career that obsessing over numbers, the scale, or appearance didn’t just create guilt or shame. It also overlooked key information that could help someone finally make real progress.
Most of the people I work with have been through a lot: years of fad or yo-yo dieting, trend-chasing, or feeling ignored or dismissed by their providers and nutrition coaches. Often, it’s led to either significant health issues or a strained relationship with food. Sometimes both.
To be completely honest, I used to be one of those people who equated appearance with health & success. My body fat was extremely low, I looked physically “strong,” and I was praised for it. But on the inside, my health was suffering, and I’d reached an all-time low point mentally and emotionally.
If you’re in a similar position, here’s what you need to know about me: I am not here to judge or push you. After years of trying to manage your health alone or working with practitioners who just don’t get it, it’s natural to feel frustrated or anxious.
Frustrated by all the conflicting advice that now feels like static in your brain.
Anxious about losing control of your health as you age or manage chronic conditions.
Worried that you might be causing long-term damage without realizing it, or that medications could become inevitable.
So here’s where I come in: I listen to your full story, ask the right questions, and use the appropriate tools to understand what’s happening before your symptoms worsen or your frustration turns into complete burnout.
If that sounds like what you need, I’m ready to work with you. Let’s do this together.
Health isn’t static, and in this field, we learn something new every day about how to better treat and care for people with nutrition challenges. My approach will always adapt alongside your ever-changing life, needs, and goals.
To really last, your nutrition plan has to make sense for your real life. Whether you’re managing chronic conditions, an especially demanding career, or caring for your family, our work together will always be realistic for your situation so you can experience long-lasting results.
You’re in a safe space here. My care isn’t weight-centric, shame-based, or moralizing, because I firmly believe the best care happens when you feel respected, heard, and supported.
I’ll never develop a nutrition plan that includes fear-based wellness, rigid dieting, or one-size-fits-all solutions. All of my work is grounded in evidence, clinical expertise, and nuance about your unique situation.
I was new to weightlifting and searching for guidance when I followed a “nutritionist” with zero credentials (which I didn’t realize back then—oops). Instead of real, evidence-based support, I ended up on an extreme diet that left me undernourished, overtrained, and obsessively focused on my body. My period disappeared for nearly a decade, and years later I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism.
After undergrad, I worked as a personal trainer, helping others reach their fitness goals while still struggling with my own health. That’s when I realized training alone wasn’t enough, and that I needed to understand nutrition not just to help myself, but help others avoid the same pitfalls.
Becoming a registered dietitian gave me the science, but conventional approaches often overlook symptoms, lifestyle factors, and the full picture of health. And that’s why I didn’t stop there. I explored functional and integrative nutrition, learned to advocate for myself (and therefore, my clients), and regained control over my health.
Today, as a compassionate dietitian, I combine evidence-based nutrition with practical, individualized plans to help clients feel in control, build sustainable habits, and make progress without shame, obsession, or one-size-fits-all plans.
I’ll never forget the day my client texted that she got her period back. Several months earlier, she’d prepped for a bikini competition with a personal trainer who put her on a highly restrictive diet (under 1,000 calories a day!), and it damaged her relationship with food while also causing GI distress & hormone disruption. Hearing that she restarted her menstrual cycle within our first four months of work was incredibly rewarding.
I’m a big reader, and I love snowboarding in the winter. I also love trying new things (even when it’s humbling—ask me about my disfigured pottery bowl).
Without a doubt, an ice-cold Cream Soda Olipop.
